12 Trees of Christmas 2013 in Gardiner Museum

The 12 Trees of Christmas has been a favourite Toronto holiday tradition since twenty two years ago, the Gardiner Museum invited artists and city’s top designers to create unique trees that would be auctioned off and then donated to a deserving organization. This wonderful trees exhibition captures the essence of the holiday spirit and places it within a magical, colourful, sparkly winter forest.

Mystic Eaton Hall

Eaton Hall is a large house (chateau) in King City, Ontario. This enormous Norman style house was built for Lady Eaton in 1937.

I am not afraid to say, that everybody in Canada knows the name Eaton's, the former largest department store in Canada, founded in 1869 by Irish immigrant Timothy Eaton. Lady Eaton, wife of Sir John Craig Eaton, Timothy's youngest son, built this enormous Norman style house after her husband death and demolition of their previous mansion Ardwold in Toronto.

Beautiful building and paths through woods infuse a very romantic mood...

This place has his own ghost story...
During WWII this establishment was used as a hospital and rehabilitation centre for the Royal Canadian Navy.
One of Lady Eaton and Sir John Craig Eaton son's hanged himself on the third floor in a circular room. Their other son drowned in the lake...this lake...

Lady Flora Eaton (who died in 1970) walks the halls...Staff members have seen her, so if you see her, just say "hi"...
Do you believe in ghosts?
